Founder of LOR Mr. Lim Keong Wee said “it is our hope that the Legion of Racers Festival of Speed will galvanise and bring together the general community, the motor racing and the motor sports enthusiasts to the city. Our key consideration is that we [bring] karting right to the heart of the city where there is higher visibility and accessibility.”
Co-founder Mr. Melvin Moh added “with many diverse elements involved in the Legion of Racers Festival of Speed, there is something for everyone to be involved in - including tourists who are in Singapore during the week for the Singapore Grand Prix.”
Executive Director for Sports from the Singapore Tourism Board Ms. Jean Ng also added that “STB is always on the lookout for new and innovative lifestyle experiences to feature as a part of the GPSS to complement the Singapore Grand Prix race. The Legion of Racers Festival of Speed pop-up event, with its interactive car gallery and race-themed programming, presents a fresh new way to engage race fans, Singaporeans and foreign visitors. Such programming enhancements will also translate to higher footfall within the attractions and drive spend during the race season.”
