Nagoya, Japan - Today we are introducing a new series of articles that will feature Japanese ladies and their rides, kicking off we have Yuki’s Volkswagen Beetle Cabriolet.
Yuki-san is a very special woman with numerous talents, being totally into motorsports and car tuning, she also works at Aireal, welcoming customers, developing products and taking care of the communication department. Yuki also works for several Internet TV channels and even manages a professional race driver; Keishi Ishikawa from the Pacific Team in Super GT!
We last visited Aireal Autoworks several years ago to shoot their “Zero Fighter” Scion FR-S which you probably remember. From there on out, the company has further developed new original aero parts for the 86 and other cars but in the case of Yuki’s Beetle, it’s a complete one-off kit found nowhere else!
Right off the bat, the car’s width has been increased considerably and accommodates wide and mesh wheels that suit the new look perfectly. I must add that we personally love the fact she chose the cabriolet and not the coupé for this project because with the top down, the Beetle looks fantastic!
In order to slam the Volkswagen to the ground, a pneumatic suspension system replaces the factory one and lets Yuki adjust the height of the ride to her liking via remote control.
The headlights and windows were tinted yellow and thus generate a very nice contrast with the light blue colour of the body. With a subtle mix between being badass while still retaining some feminine cues, the Beetle surely looks amazing but with Yuki behind the wheel the cute factor rises further.
