2018 Geneva International Motor Show - Part 2

Geneva, Switzerland - With car launches happening every 15 to 20 minutes on Day 1 starting from 8AM onwards, we found ourselves constantly trekking back and forth through the massive halls of the Palexpo just to make sure you, our readers, never miss a single minute of the action.

Now with over 110 product unveilings its little wonder that the Geneva International Motor Show (GIMS) has created an immense following not only from the major players in the car industry, but also from international media as well.

Its sort of a show-and-tell session but on a much larger scales as the car makers themselves bring to Geneva their latest concepts or production models that are ready to hit the market and everyone on site gets to check out the competition in the flesh literally.

Perhaps one of the biggest additions to the show this year stem from the participation of several boutique Chinese car makers that specialise in Electric Hypercars - a true eye opener for us especially when we check out their stratospheric paper stats that would lay waste to just about anything on the market.

That remains to be seen though, as anyone can make sure claims, we will only believe it when we get to sit in one or get the car properly dynoed.

Anyway back to our story, with so many cars being unveiled, we couldn’t fit them all into just one story, hence, the team decided to divide it up alphabetically just so you wouldn’t miss any of the details in our expansive coverage! So without further ado, let’s get on with the show!

Mansory

2018 Geneva International Motor Show - Part 2

The Mansory Bugatti Veyron Diamond Edition is the tuner's take on the previous-gen W16 beast that packs a visual punch. Mansory has given the world’s former fastest production car a facelift with revised bodywork featuring bigger air intakes, carbon fibre front lip and forged alloy wheels with slimmer spokes.

Speaking of being super fast, the 812 Superfast has just been launched worldwide and Mansory already has a tuned up version called the Stallone. If you’re familiar with Mansory’s work, you’ve probably heard of “Stallone” before as they have used this nameplate in the past (599 GTB and F12 spring to mind). The standard V12 has been tuned up to deliver 830hp and 740Nm of torque. Together with a carbon-fibre aerokit and one-piece wheels, the Mansory Ferrari 812 Superfast Stallone is a mobile art piece.

As if the new Aston Martin DB11 wasn't a rarity on roads worldwide due to it being relatively new, Mansory has decided to bring on full-on tuning project called the Cyrus. Spotting a striking green paintwork, the tuner has squeezed out 700hp and 850Nm of torque from the V12 together with one-piece 22-inch wheels, a lowering kit and carbon-fibre aero all round giving the English supercar a truly sensuous presence.

The list of supercar tuning programmes continue with the Mansory McLaren 720S First Edition. The tuner has managed to extract 755hp and 780Nm of torque from the new biturbo V8 4.0-litre engine that goes to 100km/h in just 2.8 seconds and tops out at 345km/h. With its aerokit and reworked exhaust system, the Mansory 720S looks more like a fighter jet than car.

Based on the facelifted version, the Mansory Mercedes-AMG S63 Sedan Signature Edition gets the tuner's signature “athletic muscle package” encompassing hood vents to cool down the uprated biturbo V8 engine, that now pumps out 710hp and a massive 1,030Nm of torque thanks to Mansory. The Merc also spots a generous helping of carbon-fibre bits along with 22-inch wheels, a sports exhaust system and a mean looking kit

Featuring an assortment of carbon-fibre components, the Panamera gets 22-inch wheels an additional 35hp and 40Nm of torque from its upgraded biturbo V8 4.0-litre engine. Inside the cabin, Mansory has gone all out with a striking two-tone leather-clad interior and even more carbon fibre goodness to match the exterior.
